"Sorrento Calling",  Italy Original Sold
The location of this painting is the 'Ornella Villa', and the quaint apartment overlooking the farms and lemon orchards in the tiny village of Priora, situated in the hills above the Sorrento.  The Ornella Villa's terrace is what all terraces should be with an incredible view down the valley to Sorrento, the bay of Naples and Vesuvius  tranquil and serene in the distance....The Villa's beautiful gated drive is bordered by roses whose blossoms are the size of a luncheon plate.  The owner  'Angela' has a penchant for Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs; and the colorful but incongruous statuettes dot the drive and the grounds. One falls in love with the beauty and charm of the 'Villa Ornella' and the country side, especially in the spring when flowers are blooming everywhere and Italy and Sorrento are most enchanting.
Sorrento and the the lovely Villa Ornella are calling to me to return.....

It is my hope that the paintings I create will resonate in your heart and beguile your eyes.
When you choose one of my paintings or a print to grace the walls of your home, or office, or as a gift, I consider it an honor.
Creating art is difficult, joyful, tortuous, wonderful, agonizing and inspiring...one does it for the love of beauty and the overwhelming urge to create.
To an artist, to sell one's work is to know that the art created, the thought in visual form has been received and understood by another, it completes the cycle...art is communication.
I paint a limited number of original paintings per year.  You will find my work on my web sites and at a very few select galleries, never at a street fair.
