The hills above the town of Sorrento overlook the bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius in the distance. The town and surrounding villas above on the hills are built over the old Roman Empire ruins of "Sorrentum"...the farms and villas with lovly vistas down the valley of olive trees and perfumed with lemons from the groves and gorgeous roses growing in the walled gardens. This area of Sorrento is the start of the Amalfi Coast drive and with every turn of the cliffside road is a vista of incredible beauty.

Original painting on canvas, signed on front and on the back and market with the artist's thumbprint. Canvas size 18x24 inches gallery wrap canvas, framed in a shaded gold wood or pecan wood frame approx. 3" wide making the painting with the frame approx. 21x27".

MEDIA: all original hand painted, pen and colored wet pigment on rice paper combined with a collage of hand stained paper over canvas.
